They dig before
Bavaria builds.
Dig it! Company GbR is a freelance field-archaeology team working across Bavaria since 2001 — excavating and documenting for public institutions and private developers before construction can begin, from four offices: Peiting (HQ), Garching, Fürstenfeldbruck and Landsberg. The name is the work: archaeologists who dig. Their 2018-era website said none of that.
Precise like
a Feldplan.
We presented three complete design concepts as working demos; the firm chose Feldplan — a light survey-blueprint system with paper grid, slab type and drawn section profiles. Because the original photography was low-resolution, the design is deliberately image-light: SVG survey motifs carry the identity instead. Underneath: three languages including full Arabic RTL, and the complete 70-project archive from seventeen years of digs.
What we built
The Feldplan system
A survey-blueprint design language — paper grid, slab type, datum points and section drawings. Bold and angular, no clichés.
Three concepts to choose from
Strata, Feldplan and Monolith — three full design directions built as working demos, not moodboards. The client chose Feldplan.
Trilingual, full RTL
German, English and Arabic with complete right-to-left support — rare for a regional Handwerk-adjacent firm, deliberate for international clients.
70-project archive
The complete reference list 2001–2017, structured as data and rendered in all three languages — seventeen years of work, browsable.
Image-light by design
The original photos were low-resolution — so the system replaces them with drawn SVG survey motifs that will never age or pixelate.
Shipped & live
Six pages, Google-Maps contact, social integration and the real company emblem — deployed on Vercel.
Three concepts, one call
Instead of one take-it-or-leave-it draft, we built three full design directions as clickable demos — dark-cinematic, survey-blueprint, and brutalist — so the decision was made on real pages, not promises. Feldplan won because it looks like what the firm actually does: precise documentation of the ground beneath Bavaria.

The archive
A firm like this doesn’t need testimonials — it needs its track record made visible. We turned the complete project list into structured data and rendered it as a browsable, trilingual archive: 70 excavations and surveys across Bavaria, 2001 to 2017.
- ✓70 projects, 2001–2017
- ✓Every entry in three languages
- ✓Structured as data, rendered as archive
- ✓Filterable, scannable, honest
- ✓Seventeen years of proof, one page
